On a Day like Today

"When you can't control what is happening, challenge yourself to control the way you are responding to what is happening. That is where your power is."  -author unknown

There is so much unknown. So much fear, worry and concern. So much loss and struggle. But there is also hope and there is healing. And there is control and power. In us. All of us. Even in the darkest times, it's there.

I have a challenge for you. No matter where you are, no matter what your circumstances, I want you to find your 'why'. What brings you passion. What makes you wake up and put one foot in front of the other each day. What parts of your day can you own, can you control, can you find POWER? How can you respond to what is happening in the world around us? We can meet with with anger and anxiety or we can decide to respond to it with curiosity and strength, calm and question. What is this teaching us? What will the outcome be? Even through misfortune, what good things will come of this? What does all of this really mean? What can I do to take care of me so that I can be the best version of who I am when this passes?

We are all living in a time where there is SO much we can't control and it seems to be changing minute by minute. Some of it is overwhelmingly devastating and heartbreaking. But in these big moments, there are things we can do to make a difference for ourselves and our loved ones. Things that help us stay grounded and calm in this crazy storm. What are the things you do that bring you that sense of peace and control. Is it organizing a room, cooking meals for your family, working on a craft, working out, meditating, creating a schedule to your day, doing laundry, cleaning?

Take a deep breath. Hang in there. No matter how turbulent the seas are right now, I promise you, you are doing a good job being you, which is the most important thing to be. Your breath is your anchor and will keep you steady while we ride these crazy waves.

- sending Love and Light,

Hali 🤍
